1 Rebecca Andrews was the first recorded victim of what in 1665? Given the date, I would say the Great Plague of London 1665. Though they had it in other parts of the country as well, like Eyam in Derbyshire

3 What payment to authors is capped at £6,600? Public Lending Rights

5 Which cetacean is known as the white whale or sea canary? Beluga

8 Which element is named after an astronomer? Copernicium, after the man with metal underwear Nicholas Copperknickers.
Like the late Chaircat Midge, I am not always right.

2. It's a Korean rice wine drink similar to sake but much stronger.
4. Slieve Donard - another quiz league favourite question along with the highest on the Isle of Man (Snaefell by the way).

Marmite definitely YUM! though some seem to be frightened by it. All I ate till I was about 9 was marmite sandwiches.

1 Great Plague in London.
2 Soju (Korean spirit).
3 Public lending rights.
4 Slieve Donard (852m).
5 Beluga whale.
6 Make Canadian province the 51st US state.
7 Marmite (and Vegemite).
8 Copernicium (Nicolaus Copernicus).
