I'm going to guess that it's something like the colour of the map in a classic board game like Risk or Axis and Allies.

14 The Adventure of the Lion’s Mane; The Adventure of the Speckled Band; Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?
The first two are Sherlock Holmes stories where the method of death was a poisonous animal (type of jellyfish called a 'lion's mane' and a snake, respectively.... OK, after googling the third one, it turns out I was overthinking it - they all have a vital clue from the last words of the person who died.

15 George Harrison’s and Sadiq Khan’s fathers; Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s mother?
I think Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a very working class family background. Is it something like they were cleaners or shop assistants or something? EDIT: bus drivers! Let's all cheer for social mobility!

Nice to see you back, Merry!

Match box designs. (But I had to check Wikipedia to get it.)

11 Italy (pink); France (yellow); Spain (red)? Theses are the colours of the leaders' jerseys in the general classification of the Giro Italia, Tour de France and La Vuelta cycle races. The interview with Bradley Wiggins in the second clip is worth watching.

12 Apache; Telstar; Albatross; Eye Level; Mouldy Old Dough? These were instrumentalist records that made it to No 1 in the UK charts. The groups that made the first three were the Shadows, Tornados and Fleetwood Mac. I can't remember who made the other 2 records.
Like the late Chaircat Midge, I am not always right.

5/7

I loved the matchbox question. I did not get it despite having used all these brands - I have a box of Cook's matches in my kitchen right now!

9 Images on matchboxes: England’s Glory; Ship; Cook’s; Swan Vestas.
10 Female film editors.
11 Leader’s jerseys in cycling tours.
12 Instrumental No 1 singles: the Shadows; the Tornados; Fleetwood Mac; Simon Park Orchestra; Lieutenant Pigeon.
13 Dogs in EastEnders. I knew this one. How could I forget Ethel's Willy? :lol
14 Story titles based on character’s dying words: Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes) – first two; Agatha Christie.
15 Bus drivers.
