Yuletide is Coming!

Hi all,

This is signal raising for a very fun multi-fandom exchange called Yuletide. They've just put out the schedule notice - in late September, they'll put a call out to people who are thinking about participating to nominate rare fandoms (less than a 1000 works on AO3 that are in English and 1000+ words.)

I find this a really enjoyable story exchange to participate in - there are a lot of different rare fandoms nominated to request and offer, and it's got a very friendly enjoyable feel. If you'd like to sign up:
- you make an offer of a certain number of nominated fandoms that you would like to write in
- you make a request of a certain number of nominated fandoms that you have story ideas for
- an algorithm matches everyone up into a matching offer-request pair
- you'll be expected to write a story of at least 1000 words in one of the fandoms that your designated recipient asked for, including the characters they asked for, that also honours any Do Not Wants they put in the request
- on Christmas Day, you'll receive a story that fits in with your request
- you spend Christmas Day reading through everyone else's excellent stories.

You can participate by signing up via the link above, or joining the pinch hitters list of people who are willing to fill a last minute request if a writer has had to default, or simply browsing through the prompts and writing treats for people.
Prompts are in this handy app (this will get added to voluntarily over the next few days by people who share their request letters, then after the signups are closed, all requests in the signups will also be shared.)
