Okay, so here goes my travel report.
I was picked up by Merry at Moreton in Marsh. There had been a road closure so she had been through some stress to get to the station, poor dear! The moment she turned up in Fizzy, I knew this was going to be terrific. I loved that car at first glance - it is just so...Merry!
And then I got a real Merry hug!!!

(I got lots of them over those couple of days and I enjoyed every single one!)
At the house, I met Mr Merry who is beyond lovely, I took an instant liking to him. Later that day I also met Juliet and we had a great time together. My room was just lovely. I even had my own coffee machine and vegan snacks. And Fluss and Dumblepaw were there to greet me.
We made some Houmous together for lunch. Neither of us had ever made it before but it turned out delicious!
Merry has already posted about all the things we did. I will post a few of my pictures. I have to say those four days were amongst the best I've ever had. All the Merries are such lovely people and I felt so welcome and cared for all the time.
I particularly enjoyed making music together, our German talks, preparing dinners, caring for Merry's plants - there is a tomato plant called Tom now.
All of it was just perfect!
I have been to England a number of times now but never experienced the country like this before. There is a huge difference between staying at hotels and doing the touristy sights, and staying with friends and experiencing all of the real culture first-hand through the eyes of locals.
Thank you so much for having me, Merry! Time went by way too quickly and I already miss you all so much! I really hope we'll see each other again soon.
