Pen Names
I know we’ve talked about this A LONG LONG (ever so long) TIME AGO
But....
What do you lot think about Pen Names?
Love? Hate? Get confused once you learn an author’s “real name”? Does it really serve a useful purpose? Or is it just frivolous?

Pen Names
To me, pen names make total sense. They protect the writer's privacy, first and foremost. They can be random or meaningful, maybe a nod to some book or something else you like. My great-grandfather was an Austrian writer and he used a pen name on some of his work, I think.
I suppose whenever I read something, I am aware that the author's name could potentially be a pen name, therefore I suppose I would not be surprised to find out that their real name is different. But that's just my personal opinion.

Yep, I remember so I will copy what I wrote then here and will add more!
So this is my story about my non pen name, but I still want to make a real pen name which I will need when I will publish a book when I finally will get to write it. I only have first name, so need only figure out last name. First name is Evelyn. I really like it. I hope that someday last name will come to me or someone will help me figure it out! *hopefully looking at the Millers side*Well, Forsteriaana isn't my pen name. I just found it in one story and I like it, so that's why use it. It's mean nothing. In true I need a pen name, 'cuz I still have a plan to write and publish books in Amazon Kindle (which not N&S). My real name is so latvian (country where I live is Latvia) that won't fit for pen name, so I need something english and I have first name and it's Evelyn (yes, Tom, from that story ). About this name is long story, but in short I like it very much. Just need to figure out last name, but nothing come to my mind. If you, Daisy, or you, guys, have an ideas, please, share it here or in PM. I'll be very happy about your help!

Rose was my great grandmothers surname. All the following women have it as their middle name...except me

Are you sorry or pleased about that, Di
My real middle name is worse than my first name!

So, my partner's cousins are Catholic (he went to a Jewish preschool and a Catholic primary school, and none of it stuck.) They also run to girls. The names across two families are: Mariana, Mary Rose, Rosamaria, Sofiana and I think Anna Maria (there's been some friction between two sisters over it...)

I was actually thinking about this like last week haha. I kinda like just Anna Foster - a play on your screen name but also very English-sounding. Or, Evelyn Foster, now that you've said how much like Evelyn.Forsteriaana30 wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 6:42 pm

Just my two cents
As far as a pen name for me personally, I've always liked Price for a last name. Like, if I were to fake my death, my alias would totally be something Price First names would be Libby, Louisa, Gracie, or some other play on Jane Austen names, just not Fanny haha
