10. Atlas. The atlas moth is the world's largest, Charles Atlas was a 97lb weakling until he worked out with his body building technique. So I guess the others have a connection to "atlas" too.
In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Tough 2 (12 March)
9 1936 (41); 1936 (40); 1952 (25); 2022 (73)? Ages of and dates of succession of UK monarchs to the throne - Edward VIII, George VI, Elizabeth II and Charles III.
10 Toubkal; largest moth; first vertebra; 97lb weakling? All to do with Atlas. Toubkal is the highest mountain in the Atlas range in North Africa. The first vertebra on which the skull sits and twists is the Atlas. Charles Atlas turned himself from a 97 lb weakling into 'the most perfectly developed man in the world'. Presumably there is a big moth with Atlas in its name.
11 Persuasion; The Silmarillion; Suite Française; The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? All published after the death of the author, though that is a bit of a stretch with The Silmarillion; that book was edited and put into publishable form by Christopher Tolkien, son of JRR Tolkien. Christopher put together a fair number of books (most of which I have) using his father's notes and unpublished stories which basically were about the development of JRR Tolkien's mythology about Arda, Middle-Earth etc; but I stopped when he produced one called Morgoth's Ring. I thought that was scraping the barrel a bit and didn't buy it.
12 Anthony van Dyck; Ambrose Burnside; Emiliano Zapata; Salvador Dalí? The artist Anthony van Dyck had a splendid moustache, while Dali had that famous thin droopy moustache. Zapata must have had a fine moustache. I've never heard of Ambrose Burnside but I bet he has/had a wonderfully fine moustache as well.

Like the late Chaircat Midge, I am not always right.
