I have just posted the beginning of a new story, as part of the run we've been having these past few days. It's part of my Grace and Consequences sequence, but I'm finding it sadder to write than the earlier stories, so fair warning.

Anyway, have some chapters!

Wonderful stuff coming from you all. I've just read Daisy's and it's wonderful, so atmospheric, with a whiff of threatening melancholy you catch when you stop thinking about tomatoes on bread with oil.

Well, Recall was a sad story, but all the bad things had happened in the past so the principals had some distance from their feelings.
Cord is about to have a really angsty flashback in the next chapter, and then it will lighten and let Margaret gain some agency and a happy ending after that. (I prefer to over warn than give someone a nasty surprise.

My pro tip for people wanting to use Cadiz as a setting is to use "customs/food/clothing of Andalusia" as your search term, rather than Spain. The regional differences were pretty big.

Thank you, I appreciate that so much. It has been a fun story to write, but our sweet couple will not have the HEA for a while yet as they grow to understand each other. I will post Chapter Three on Monday night.
