This is NOT normal for us. Far too cold. We're used to 4-5 degrees in winter? Maybe a little lower? It also oscillates up and down a lot.mimosa wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 3:34 pmThey got their fun. Their dad said yes (I wanted to say no ). They lasted only three to five minutes before coming back in for hot cocoa and biscuits. I don't think they'll go back out.
Is this normal weather for your area? It seems too cold.

Can your area support weird weather? Or will it halt to the ground? I always chuckle when the B.C. Fraser Valley gets snow and the whole system shuts down because it can't support itself.Philipaholt wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 4:45 pmThis is NOT normal for us. Far too cold. Mim, I'm more mid-Atlantic than southern, but it's not too bad in relative terms in Virginia compared to you northerners! Single digits overnight, but sunny and in the 20s yesterday and today, and no snow, so I'm staying cozy inside. I was supposed to meet a friend for coffee yesterday but we canceled due to the risk of black ice on the roads. I'm going to venture outside for my daily walk later today with plenty of layers plus a mask to keep my face warm. I'm so ready for spring though - the dryness is absolutely killing my skin!

We're quite cold in the Ohio valley area. And your friend was right. It's terribly cold. And feels colder. But guess what? The temp should climb right back to 8 or 9 degrees by next weekend. Someone please tell the weather they're drunk and should go home??

I LOVE the pic, Merry!!! ❤ I'm going to try and learn that Hippopotamus Polka. Wish I didn't suck at reading sheet music.

Merry he's delightful! Little Bee-Boy would be so excited for you. He's got a menagerie of animals all named and Quite Important. Does the hippo have a name yet?

Our poor Merry is ill again! :( She has been down with a terrible cold and cough and has therefore not been feeling up to posting anything on here, but she will try to be back as soon as possible. Let's all wish her a speedy recovery.

Feel better soon, Merry! Wishing you had a handkerchief of Marlborough cotton and Warburg's Tincture to feel better quickly.
