Yes, it has been very busy. Here is what I've been doing for the last 4 weeks: gutting salmon at the beach. But we are done now yeah!

We freeze half and can half of our catch.

My story begins... 'a lonely John Thornton is invited for Christmas dinner by Richard Hale....' but I'm sure I can shoehorn it into any theme

In true Colleen fashion, my idea is a cross over: J&M and The Gift of the Magi. Not sure if that could fit ANY theme but I am not afraid to go against the grain either.

No idea what I'll do yet but it will hopefully be short.

Is there going to be a theme for the Christmas story?

Now that I have started posting my longer Fanny fic, I could start to think about something - but if there is going to be a theme, would like to know asap.

or - should we be suggesting themes?

Please feel free to suggest themes, everyone. Last year it was "Snowed in at Christmas".

I haven't theme to suggest, but only how I mentioned it previously then I'll write continue to my last year Christmas story and my inspiration for it is this pic:

So my idea is that there'll be time passing and out lovebirds will be celebrating Christmas with their children, and Margaret will be prepared surprise for John. Nothing more I will not discover. So how I mentioned I haven't theme. Just saying!

Well how about "Surprise" as a theme? Only a thought. Open to other ideas as well.
