The World Health Organisation has recommended that Monkeypox should be renamed to "mpox" in an attempt to destigmatise the disease.
The Librarian concurs.

What about chicken pox that isnt anything to do with chickens either is it will they remame that.

Still this reminds me of someone who once posted that the Spanish should change their word for black (negro) to something else as it was offensive.

Are we to rename monkeys too? How about monkey bars?
