And this is My Sooty on a tricycle when he was younger and more recently on a rocking chair.

Awww Furby!

That's a beautiful cat!

And as for Sooty.... :love

I love the tricycle too.

Here's old Midge 1 - not on his Gran but on the sofa and on his old chair - long gone, like Midge 1!

Dear dead white cat was very fussy about its food and only liked best prawns. It turned its nose up at most tinned cat food and one day brought a white markings kitten home to eat its leftovers. Presumably in the hope once the cat food was eaten some prawns would be put out. Usually would hiss at other cats even thinking of trying the cat door but seemed to like the little white markings kitten. It was later adopted although turned out to belong to a neighbour and had been eating two dinners and sleeping at two houses for quite some time before being discovered so when neighbours moved away they agreed cat could stay at the home it spent most time in anyway.

Midge 1 had a second home for a short time. Mum knew he had one because once when I was on holiday she moved in to look after the boys and one night it was belting it down with rain and Midge 1 nowhere to be seen. About 10 minutes after the rain stopped he came in, perfectly dry, so it was clear he had been in someone else's house and had announced his wish to depart when the rain stopped.

So, currently we have five ponies and two horses, with three due to foal between June and August. If I have attached the photo right, there should be the three little mares, who are all scruffy and fluffy. You may notice something unusual about the little Palomino....

Oh wow. I thought Merry was posh having two horses but Graceeliz has a whole string!
WR, have you considered getting another dog?

I will get another dog eventually but I'm renovating my house so there's lots of workmen, plaster and wet paint. Also I'm relatively busy consulting and since I split up with Mrs WR I haven't got much help as MYF is now back working in London 3 days a week. I've also got 4 holidays booked this year as I don't have to find a dog sitter happy to look after a 70+ kg dog for the first time in 20 years. All should be done by the end of the year so I'll get another one then. Still miss him though..

Of course you do, WR - he was a big part of your life. I still miss the Chaircat from time to time, despite having The Lady Mina and her son The Lord Midge to keep me occupied, and it will be 10 years in March since Midgie had to depart.

It’s always sad when one of our pets leave. I still miss all of mine. Lopsie is such a lap cat that she keeps me company.
WR, I’m glad you are making the most of your time before you get another dog.

@Graceliz, I’m not clued up on horses and I haven’t been able to spot anything unusual.

I do love Mauschi ❤️

Regarding the little palomino pony - she only has one eye! She got uveitis, a nasty eye infection, and had to have it removed. She's very happy now when it isn't muddy underfoot and is due a foal sometime in early summer.
As for being posh.... well.... I wouldn't go that far 😂 peasant for life, me, no posh snobbing on TA wages. And merry has horses too??? We really do seem to be the same sort of people!

Wow Juliet would be so envious of your herd, Grace! (she's my daughter and the rider - I'm just occasional poo-picker and feeder :rolleyes

We have just two, Pepper and Clara and they are both 'rescues'. The love of our pet-lives was Clyde, an unremarkable bay mongrel pony who just happened to be amazingly talented and also had a wonderful quirky character. Long-gone and still missed.

PS our field looks just like yours - MUDDY! :D
