Yevgeny Prigozhin on crashed plane

Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin appears to have met his end on a suspiciously convenient plane crash just two months after his mutiny.
Presumably it was inevitable that his days were numbered after embarrassing and perhaps frightening the Russian president.

The Telegram channel linked to Yevgeny Prigozhin (according to the BBC) has claimed that the private aircraft in which he and others were travelling was shot down by air defences. Who would have thought it...............

Quite..... how awf'ly convenient....

I am amazed that no-one seems to have thought of engineering a similar outcome for Mr P himself.... there must be some sane people over there who would be able to get close enough?!

I think the thought of such a possibility had occurred to many people of various nationalities. Mr P is no doubt aware of this as demonstrated by the distance he keeps from others in meetings. He is rarely seen in public and there is, allegedly, at least one body double.
One can foresee that he will ultimately die of natural causes such as blunt trauma to the back of the head.

The Quora chatter following Mr Prigozhin's demise has two theories circulating: the plane was shot down by air defences, or it fell victim to an onboard terrorist attack. Neither theory has been verified.

In the videos of the falling plane, it’s visible it only has one wing. Witnesses report two “bangs” before the plane began to fall. White tracks of air defence missiles can be also seen.

An hour after the announcement of the crash of Prigozhin’s plane, a criminal case was opened under the article “Violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport.” Well, that's right: you can't fly a plane without one wing, it's not safe. A case of investigation of premeditated murder was not opened.

More unsubstantiated rumours are arising. One is that Prigozhin held information that was to be released on his death. Another is that the Wagner group will be repeating its mutiny and will be marching to Moscow.
Interesting times.
