Looks like the suit came from a Lib-Dem jumble sale. Or maybe he last wore it 50 years ago when it might have fitted better.
According to Wikipedia he's 5' 10" tall. I don't believe that. Wiki says Diana was the same height, and I read that when they were taking the engagement photos they made her stand on the next step down from him so that she wouldn't tower over him. Queen Camilla is supposed to be 5' 6" tall - she doesn't look 4 inches shorter than he is in that pic.

Are over long trousers the new fashion perhaps. A few of the characters seem to be wearing them.
