I am hoping OC will mark last week's :kissy if he doesn't mind!

2 Why was Janet Young unique in UK politics 1979-1990?

3 Which cult musician initiated No Music Day?

4 Which Truman Capote book was a pioneer of the true crime genre?

5 The Romito Bridge in Laterina is claimed to feature in which painting?

6 Egas Moniz won a Nobel prize for what discredited surgical procedure?

7 Which dynasty used the acrostic slogan AEIOU?

O very well...............I'll mark them after doing some of these! Only two today.

1 Which African country is named from the Portuguese for prawn? Cameroon

2 Why was Janet Young unique in UK politics 1979-1990? Was she Margaret Thatcher's dresser? WRONG!

8 What did wildcatters go in search of? Oil in the USA

2. She was a cabinet minister and the years given are Maggie's years as PM so I'll guess she was the only female minister appointed during Thatcher's time as PM - I can't think of another.
3. Bill Drummond - just after he burnt £1 million on some Scottish island...
4. In Cold Blood - if you haven't seen the film Capote it is well worth a watch. Phillip Seymour Hoffman won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Capote writing this book.
5. I think there's one in the background of the Mona Lisa and it sounds Italian...

Yes, OC, that'll be the lady I was thinking of. I didn't know she was married to Peter Butterworth.
