In chat last night Merry asked about the forthcoming snap of cold weather, and I misinformed her that it wouldn't be too bad. I got that very wrong - it will start going colder on Sunday night, and for next week until Friday temperatures are predicted at night to go below zero Celsius as far south as where I live, and be in the mid single figures during the day. I suppose it will be a bit colder Oop North.
Sorry, Chat friends!
Like the late Chaircat Midge, I am not always right.
Yes, even in temperate Hertfordshire Monday to Thursday has sub-zero temperatures every night. I'm on my own next week as MYF is running an exhibition and conference all week. Just to rub salt into the wound the conference is in the Cayman Islands where the temperature will be 30 degrees C in the day and 20C at night . She gave it the big one about having to be up by 7 every morning to check all is in order and that she would be working longer hours than in the UK. This is true...if you consider hosting a cocktail reception and two delegate dinners in a 5 star hotel, a catamaran trip round the island, a sting ray feeding excursion and a trip to Cayman rum distillery to be work. Sadly there isn't a "green wih envy" emoji...
