Thank you SO much. I'm really grateful. These donkeys and the people who care for them mean a lot to me.





An abandoned foal arrived at the sanctuary recently. He is one of the lucky ones. He'll never know another moment of pain and fear in his life.

I hope they are far enough away from war zones they have miserable enough lives in normal times don't they.

They do, Furby, you're right. Really terrible. The builder donkeys have to carry massive loads up steep steps, and the owners by and large are cruel to them, with steel chain nosebands which cause deep wounds. :(

The sanctuary must be in a safe-ish place, but the shipments of donkey food are being stolen at the borders in this time of desperate need for all.

Another draw, if anyone would be so kind - closing date Feb 23 BENEFACT GROUP DRAW - it should come up with the name already filled in, but if not, it's SAFE HAVEN FOR DONKEYS
