He sure is handsome...particularly when he comes to tea with the Hales.
I wonder what would have happened if Margaret had behaved a bit more graciously towards John when he came to tea? Maybe she could have shaken his proffered hand? Lent in closely whilst offering him another biscuit??

Here is my contribution to Thornton Thursday. I like to go for the non-John Thorntons.

This was posted on a FB Outlander page (yes I am an Outlander fan and I have even done some Outlander fics that can be found here https://archiveofourown.org/works/37403 ... s/93951439 and https://archiveofourown.org/works/36462754 if anyone is interested. Warning, the second one was my first and only venture into smut).

This is a promo picture for Riptide. The post mentioned the familiar face in the picture being that of David Berry (left) who plays Lord John Grey in Outlander. I first noticed the familiar face in the middle - Jo Joyner (Fanny Thornton).

I am also an Outlander fan. I watch it on my own...my husband would not appreciate it, and I wouldn't want to have my kids watch it.

I'm in the same boat. Hubby wouldn't appreciate it and it's definitely not for the kids. I saw the series and then started reading the books and I am only about halfway through. Have you read them?

I watch it in my room when I have a chance to be "MIA". I'm only on the third season. There's so much that could be shared, but then there's the R-rated stuff that gets in the middle... I am currently listening to the third book (and reading along on occasion on my kindle)...I'm never in sync, but it's close.I watched the first season before I listened to it. (There are many disturbing parts.) I'm not sure I'll go through all of them, but well...we'll see.

Oh, no! What can of worms did I open here. I'll consider it (I still have a couple of other stories I'm trying to finish) but if someone else wants to give it a shot, please do.
