Hi guys, for those not on discord, just to let you know, my N&S baby was born today. It's available as an ebook and paperback on amazon. I'll be posting chapter 1 on AO3 tonight though chapter 1 and part of chapter 2 are on amazon if you look inside the book. There is an acknowledgement to the ...

Steam screw passenger liners
In this context, this post reminds of "No Such Thing As Luck", an N&S variation by Nicole Clarkston in which J&M meet on a steam ship going to Cadiz. It can be found on Amazon. All of Nicole's N&S stories are very good (I have read and liked some of her P&P stuff too).

In true Colleen fashion, my idea is a cross over: J&M and The Gift of the Magi. Not sure if that could fit ANY theme but I am not afraid to go against the grain either.

Oh, yeah! That would be so cool! You could do like a mafia romance featuring Don John Thornton and his cotton mill empire. And Mr. Hale in his 'reduced circumstances' is forced to marry his daughter to the Milton Godfather. :rofl Yes PLEEEEEEEEEEASE. Seriously, someone HAS to write this!!! Oh, no! ...

Inadvertent quotations
There is a quote I know I use from N&S but my family doesn't know it since they are not as familiar with N&S as I am. I will often say to my kids "You know what to do." with the pitch and cadence of Hamper(?) at the dinner party when speaking of the man whose children were starving...

BTW my daughter is named Nicole, I love that name The cacti are absolutely adorable! The first one is my favorite. Are they knitted or crocheted (my Nicole likes to crochet)?

My family does this all the time with quotes from all the different movies we've watched. I'll have to think if I use any from N&S though.
