Baltimore Bridge Collapse

t appears that the captain notified the coast guard that the vessel was in distress in good time. There were two local harbour pilots on the bridge one on the helm and the ship dropped its starboard anchor before hitting the western support column after losing power and/or propulsion. They stopped ...

Getting Food in the time of Corona, Brexit and War

I think they remove the Easter eggs from online sale in Easter week and just sell in the shops it's too much trouble being out of stock of preferred ones and pickers having to choose replacements and people not being happy. I never thought of that! :up Have you noticed how small things are getting....

It's at least made a change in the news from Gaza and the royals but I shudder thinking of the trauma and the disruption.

Poor old Charlie

I'm no Royalist but I felt v sorry for Kate, delivering her message with courage and dignity. I thought she was going to cry at one point :(

I'm even feeling a bit sorry for Charlie, he looked so forlorn and pale in the car today.

Am I going soft?

There are no normal onions in Tesco and I had to buy some fancy pink onions. I've never seen a pink onion. But I may like it better than a normal onion. Tesco seem to have sold out of easter eggs so I had to buy Mr Merry a box of Black Magic instead. He will be ok with this. I did like the look of t...

Oh Eccles, I'm sorry about your brother's health scare and I really hope it all turns out manageable. :hugs As you say, bad health news seems to be everywhere! I love the sound of Cafe Elsabel. I too like simple fare with lots of options. If we do Dobbie's lunch again I'm going to try the Steak and ...

The NHS is not doing well at present but at least there is one - imagine an NHHS - a national horses' health service! I'm just too exhausted to make an amusing write up of it tonight but there WERE funny moments looking back at the day - just not IN the moment, which entailed a limping, hopping pony...
