Wow, so much snow where all of you live! It’s so beautiful! It never snows where I live.

Writer’s Block. In Need of Ideas!
Another angsty scenario could be this: They do figure out their feelings for each other and agree to get married (as they have already managed to have sex and the misunderstandings are sort of cleared away), with or without the involvement of Fred or Mr. Hale. Though I do like the idea of Mr. Hale ...

The Weavers and Spinners - our group collabs - all welcome!
So Pippa and I were talking the other day and I don't know when we will do another collection but what do you all think of the idea of doing something including letter writing? Like, as a poll: Some scenario in which John and Margaret fall in love through writing letters? I know it's been done befo...

I love the idea of doing different stories with different scenarios! I think part of the reason I got stuck was because I was so focused on trying to choose the BEST scenario. I never thought of doing them ALL! Wonderful! Thank you!

Where do we all live?
Hello everyone, I’ve already chatted with a few of you on other threads. I live in the Central Valley of California (in the US). We’re very big on agriculture here. Our county is the largest producer of almonds in the world. We live in the countryside and are surrounded by almond orchards, which is ...

Fanfic ideas
I've often written stories just on the back of an idea posted in the Mill. (Penny!! :heart ) Love stories told in letters is one of my favourite themes. Great idea, kaybell! Thank you, merry! I am still so excited that I have found you all on here to actually discuss N&S. I also LOVE when M&...

Oh wow!!! I LOVE that idea!!! I bet one could really work with it. Have you started writing it? Any idea what John's novel could be about? This thread is wonderful. I got the idea for my current crossover from here, and I think some other stories were picked up from here as well in the past. I was ...

Writer’s Block. In Need of Ideas!
Ok, to clarify for everyone, I need new ideas because I have none of my own. Well, that’s not entirely true. I have tons of ideas of my own, but I just don’t like them, or can’t decide which ones to use. I like drama in my stories. Lots of drama. :devil Here are some of my random ideas: -Margaret ge...

Writer’s Block. In Need of Ideas!
Hi Kaybell, your fanfic is one of my favourites on ao3. I love the drinking game John and Margaret play whilst in his office. Hilarious but also revealing! So glad you have not forgotten or completely abandoned it! As a way forward how about following: I think John and Fred need to talk when Fred d...

Writer’s Block. In Need of Ideas!
how many spoilers do you want as we give you ideas? Nevermind, you asked, and now we're all involved. Ha! What at party J&M had, and Margaret was quite bold in how she behaved that night. Does that leave her that way or is she in shock at her behaviour after the alcohol leaves here. And that de...

Writer’s Block. In Need of Ideas!
I am not sure if you are looking for concrete ideas for the story or how best to develop your own. I might get a stack of cards and write different next events in the story /endings and then list bullets of how that would impact each character or the interaction between them. So, you could have a c...

Writer’s Block. In Need of Ideas!
Hi all! I just joined this lovely group and am hoping for inspiration to finish my “abandoned” fic on AO3. I wrote “New Year, New Beginnings” and left it on a cliffhanger due to writer’s block. I’ve written the next chapter many times, but I’m unhappy with it. I’m not sure if I should write what th...

Oh I love that story! I’m so happy to hear you’re going to continue it! :heart I’m really not sure about plot ideas offhand… it’s been a while since I read it and the details are fuzzy (I’m going to have to go back and reread it now) but maybe pull in Ann Latimer for some sort of conflict… Or Henry...

Thank you for the warm welcome! I never realized there were places to chat with other N&S lovers. How exciting!! Yes, I left my fic on a huge cliffhanger, which wasn’t my intention. I have written, and re-written the next chapter so many times, but was never happy with it. I just felt stuck. I c...

I wasn’t able to come up with anything good for what John’s story might be about. I tried, but I have given up on writing it. So again, this story idea is free for the taking!

Hello everyone! I’m Kaybell from AO3. I spent years as an anonymous reader before finally making a screen name a couple years back so that I could publish my one and only fic (which I never finished, sigh). I LOVE N&S and am happy I found this fun site! I read about it on a fic from TRavine.
