Do you like it there? My writing (and reading) is dominated by epidemiology. Are you in the sciences too? I ...

Thank you, all, for such a warm welcome!! I'm a Brit living in the western US who usually spends most of her time exploring the Great Outdoors, and who has only recently returned to literature. I've devoured all your work, and am so impressed by your writing. I *would* like to try my hand one of th...

Do you play piano?

I used to, and I very much want to do so again. I'm composing a list of pieces I'd like to learn as further incentive!
NB I'm probably more of a Margaret than a Fanny

Good N&S fics
One that really stood out for me is Echo, by SHBirds, on FF. It's not a HEA, it's complex & addresses a heavy topic, even moreso for its time; it's beautifully written and I still find myself thinking about the ending & wondering what Thornton actually believes to be true. https://www.fanfi...

The Hippopotamus Polka
So, Merry recently posted this sheet music of the Hippopotamus Polka, which is mentioned in one of her stories. It was written in the early 1850s and was inspired by the first Hippo in London Zoo, an animal called Obaysch. Merry asked if anyone could play it, so here it is: https://www.youtube.com/...
