Tony Blair's autobiography hot off the press - £12.50 at Amazon

Blair describes Brown as "strange" and as having "zero" emotional intelligence.

and he blames him for everything.

He liked George W OK though:

Tony Blair has penned a love letter to America in the introduction to the U.S. edition of his memoirs.

In it, he claims his book is about the United States and describes American presidents in gushing terms as occupying the ‘Olympian heights’.

He eulogises Bill Clinton as ‘formidable’, George W Bush as ‘intuitive’ and Barack Obama as ‘a man with steel in every part of him’.

He is unstinting in his praise of the country and its leaders. ‘Mere mortals are still inspired by a certain awe,’ he gushes.

Here's a picture of our Tony looking particularly mad:

Books move to half price so quickly these days don't they.
I haven't bought it as I reasoned that if there was anything remotely interesting in it, it would not be long before it was on the TV news or t'internet.

The last president who inspired me to a certain awe was John Adams.
"Intuitive" is just about the last description I'd give to George Jnr. His lack of foresight and knowledge of the political and religious make-up of Iraq, combined with his blind trust in the completely untrustworthy Donald Rumsfield, led to the appalling mess that Iraq is today.
Tony pelted with Eggs and Shoes at memoir signing

Eggs and Shoes.... :lol

Eccles, I totally agree with your dismisal of "intuitive" concerning Bush. However, attributing a lack of foresight and knowledge to the man paints him in far too benign a light.

Everything he did with respect to Iraq was cold hard calculating and successful. It was all on behalf of US petroleum interests who reaped the profits at the expense of world peace.

if only he'd written the book first we could have avoided electing him. I remember Blair saying that he had kept quiet about his religious beliefs because if we'd known we wouldn't have voted for him.

"Tony if we'd known all this other stuff about you we'd probably have had you locked up for your own good"

Asy, you made me  :lol  with 'John Adams'.

I expect there have been one or two since who didn't do too badly, but to hold up Bush as an ideal is just unbelievable isn't it.

Do you think it has anything to do with Blair being popular in America and getting money for speechs there. Perhaps I am too cynical.

And what is it with shoes these days.

I does not have any shoes for Creature to throw at SUBL politicians on my behalf, wergh.   :(
