Apparently the reason for the sacking was gross misconduct. He claims the sacking was politically motivated. However, although claiming to be a branch union official he was still drawing a salary from BA, and the word through the grapevine is that he wasn't doing a day's work from one week to the next. If his union wanted him to spend all day doing union business then let them employ him.
As for getting another airline job, who on earth would employ him? Expect him to appear soon as a Labour council candidate somewhere.
