Is this over yet , there is a third episode isn't there so have we still got that to look forward to.
I haven't watched TV much as I have problems at the moment and this has meant I have missed out on the propaganda.
I did watch the news briefly and breaking news was Gordon Brown goes to the supermarket so I just switched it off.
We has been avoiding these debates like the Plague.
You can avoid them (as I do) but then they get rehashed on Newsnight, which I can't avoid as Mr M has it on.
I heard on NN it was unprecedented for any party to rise 11% in the polls after a debate and stay there as the Lib Dems have done. However it's apparently 'laughable' to even consider that they might get in. I'm considering voting for them this time.
On the basis that we can all do with a laugh?
Well that too. Still I suppose if lots voted Lib Dem now then next time around it would be seen as a possible winner and then would stand a chance.
Still, voting now to influence the next election or the one after that seems a bit of a stretch.
Voters in Essex have a chance to vote for None Of The Above
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/essex/8639348.stm
Do you get another round of voting then, or are you stuck with anarchy, BF?
[mind you, anarchy is starting to look very attractive on this side of the Pond at least.]
We usually only get the one chance of voting.
But if it is what they call a "hung parliament" where no party has a majority then we may get another round later in the year like in 1974.
If none of the above wins or loses in Essex it will make not the slightest bit of difference. Sadly.
None Of The Above X apparently will not take his seat if he wins which means the area concerned will not be represented in Parliament. I would imagine there are better ways of registering your dislike of the three main parties.
Upchucking on the ballot springs to mind.
The past two presidential elections, and our most recent gubernatorial election alike, I would cheerfully have chosen "none of the above" if given the opportunity. I've never seen a more likely group of robber barons and thieves in large enough mass to turn into a black hole in the space time continuum, as our local politicians.
If for no other reason than continuously voting for trillion dollar bailouts of unscrupulous mega corporations when 95 percent of voters oppose the measure, I would say our democracy no longer warrants its name.
Enough to drive a teetotaler to drink, it is.
Here following your elections with great fascination because misery loves company!
