I don't particularly like Harriet Harman, but the addition of three points to her licence for a low level parking shunt where there was no resultant damage seems a bit excessive to me. I'm wondering whether there was a nod and a wink here as she was using her mobile phone at the time of the offence but this charge was dropped.

Hmm yes it seems a bit excessive unless it was really about the mobile use. Anyone could bump another car while parking.
