Wot the difference between 'legitimate' and 'legal'?
That easy. 'Legal' is when something according to the Law.
'Legitimate' is when sufficient SUBLs think it all right to do something, whether or not it Lawful or within a Contract, Rules etc. Examples are being caught on speed cameras (bad luck), falling foul of bank charges (horrid banks, it not my fault if I wanted something NOW and forgot to ask the Bank if it OK to go Overdrawn) etc.
Of course there is exceptions - not every SUBL caught by a speed camera has been speeding on purpose, just let their attention wander a little bit. And not every SUBL with big Bank charges is Feckless. But plenty of them are speed maniacs and Feckless and think it quite all right to do wot they want and when enough SUBLs think the same way, wot they want to do becomes Legitimate.
