We had a wintry walk today. The road on the right is the main Cheltenham-Broadway road - it must have looked this way in icy winters a hundred years ago.

Leaving the village houses behind as we march intrepidly into the icy wilderness:

Jay running down the path between the fields (yellow and green cornfields, in the spring)

Bleak out here today, but strangely, starkly beautiful:

The Lone Tree

We made a snowy friend: a robin was very interested in our snowball-rolling and kept coming to look. I didn't have Eccles' skill and couldn't persuade him to pose!

Snowman and Snowgirl:

Great pics. Did you know you lean to the left?
I tried to bear that in mind on our walk out today! Maybe I should take a tripod!
Snowdeck - Jay measured the snow-top of this table - 6 inches deep

Toddington

A thicker snow-blanket than yesterday in the fields and festooning the winter trees

Looks like Narnia. Look out for a White Witch
Definitely Narnia this one - through the War Drobe in Spare Oom, you'd almost expect to see Mr Tumnus leaning on our war memorial:

The sun was shining today, bringing out points of diamond-light in the snow, and a blue sky made it all look veyr different

This is Clyde's Hill as seen from our house:

Maybe next year's Christmas Card - if I can borrow one of Eccles' robins to paste on!
