I must get out my The Dark is Rising for its annual Christmas reread... Also watching The Box of Delights with STPD and Jay and Pani this week, which is delightfully Christmassy and sums up the mysterious, chilling, snowy delight of the season very well.
Well, the power went out and we were a bit cold and dark yesterday.
But the real linemen for the county showed up at dinner time and got us squared away. I was able to cook a hot meal on the stove rather than over the log in the fireplace.
Those first photos were meant to include a large herd of deer, but they scampered away as Thingummie Major was toying with the "snow" setting on his camera, leaving Asy as the remaining zoologic specimen. Less picturesque, me.
I'm with eccles. The further back I am the better the view when it comes to arctic conditions. It certainly looks christmassy though
