OK, maybe not the glen but of the deer park.
He's at Ashton Court near Bristol, and three weeks ago during the rut I would not have dared get this close, nor been allowed to.

I think I'm in love - he's absolutely gorgeous isn't he - privileged to get that close and take those wonderful pics, indeed.  Thanks so much for those Eccles  :clap
Glad you like them, Merry. Ashton Court has its own website if you're interested:

A very noble looking gent.

It's fine to have such a detailed portrait. I'm interested in the distinctly different features your deer have compared to ours.

I guess there's less danger of their crossing the Pond and over running places, unlike cabbage whites and gray squirrels, eh?  :D

Asy, unlike butterflies, I don't think these guys would sneak into North America hidden in UK food exports. Red deer stags are big! :D
I would imagine red deer to be unlike American species, but perhaps roe deer are similar to your mule deer, and fallow being closer to your white tails. There's a separate fallow deer park at Ashton Court. Shortly, I'll fish out some pics I took of fallow deer last time I visited the park.
