At OC's request, this time it's fungi.
This little mushroom is called a butter cap. It isn't poisonous but apparently tastes disgusting. :)

and these strange little growths are called candle snuffs because they look like the wicks of burning candles after they've been snuffed out.
and this one is growing in the ivy is one of the many ink-cap toadstools. As it ages, the edges drip a black residue, hence the name.
Those are very interesting and quite beautiful in their own way  :D   The candle snuffs really do match their name.  The butter cup sounds delicious, what a pity it isn't!

When we lived in Birdlip, my mother used to get up at dawn and hike over the fields to pick mushrooms and bring them home to fry for breakfast.  They were absolutely delicious but I'm amazed she never poisoned as as I think she just picked anything that looked mushroomy  :lol

I'd love a pic of one of those red spotty ones (like Big-Ears lives in) if ever you spot one Eccs.

:thumbs

That's fly agaric. It's not only poisonous but also hallucogenic, which may be the reason why visions of fairies and elves are associated with it. :)
TY for the pics, Eccs!   Both Me and Creature like them very much.  :D

The pics, that is, not the taste of the fungi.
