Canada is currently cracking down on copyright infringement by the common people. It's going to be interesting to see how they deal with revelations that their own recording industry is in the habit of using music and not paying the artists.
Apparently all you have to is produce a compilation CD and write on it 'approval and payment is pending' and it doesn't cost you a penny. There are currently 300,000 tracks not paid for.
At least most of those downloading from Piratebay are not making any profit on it.
