I thought I had signed up for Spotify after we had a topic about internet radio last year - and now can't find my signup - maybe I never did?  :huh

Has anyone got a spare Spotify Invite for STPD (that's my daughter H) - yes, you need an Invite now! - we'd be very grateful  :D

Ahhh never mind.  Sorted  :D  :thumbs
Wotify is spotify?
:lol

It is the Coming Thing.  So trendy invites are selling on ebay!

I find this trend of "we are only going to let you into our website if you already have friends here" attitude worrying and this does seem to be the future.
I think one can always find a way.  :devil  They want you to join these things after all, but want to increase popularity by making people feel Really Special, like when they phone you up trying to sell the last car of the old stock and tell you you have been 'Specially Selected' but really they would sell that car to anyone like a shot and thus I bet it is with Spotify too.
MySpace has launched a music service in the UK today.
Link Thing

I don't think it is working properly yet as I got an error when I tried to look at my playlists.  I hope they don't remember all my previously played tunes.

There will be further innovations for bands who stream their music on MySpace, allowing them to have detailed profiles of the type of people who are listening to their music.

I am not sure I like the sound of that but also not sure it would work for the wombles finding out that a 70 year old electronic fur toy is one of their fans.

a 70 year old electronic fur toy is one of their fans.
:lol

Going to have a look at that now.

btw a Spotify invite is not required if you go here directly

I have gone into the Myspace one as I already had an account there for other reasons.

I haven't done the Spotify one yet as it would be yet another thing to sign up for and I am at remembering who and where I am and what my secrets are overload at the moment.

Can spotify be that simple though? You need an invite to sign up unless you know the exact url to type in. Strange.

Anyway Myspace does seem to have all sorts even the Wombles (but not Wombles volume 2 which has some of my favourites on) and all sorts of back catalogue stuff. If a place has the wombles was always my music test.

There will be a catch like they make people pay after getting them used to going there I suppose there always is a catch to free things.
