Awwwwww Patty :cuddle  Well I am glad you are pleased, you have always been very supportive of HF even before our new Pros-snuggle-up section.
I'm really excited about it too!   :D

I haven't anything interesting to say at the moment (cries of what does she mean 'at the moment?') but I just want to add myself to the list of Sebastian fans.

I have never got over finding out that you were at Nattercon the same time I was and we never met up - just because I was too shy to stand on a chair and yell,  "Are you here, Sebastian? I want to worship at your feet?" :bang

I came to Pros after reading/writing K/S and I knew there were good fanfic writers out there, but your stories blew me away with their sheer emotional sophistication.  I also loved the way that they took place in the right universe - not just that there weren't any bloody elves - but that there was a day-to-day CI5ness to them, even when they weren't on duty, that I often found lacking in other writers.

So, anyone know an emoticon for salaam?

Jess

PS Hope that wasn't too embarassing.

:lol not in the least, it was lovely!   Welcome to HF, Jess, and have a browse.  We love getting posts on anything and everything.

I'm really sorry we didn't meet at Nattercon that day, too.  I wandered around like a spare part all day (with my friend ET) and everyone else seemed to know each other so we felt a bit nervous of pushing in.

Ohhh that's a lovely thing to say, and beautifully put!  I myself always found their CI5-ness very exciting -  felt it totally shaped their characters, and simply must be reflected in a story.

Ah, wonderful. Yet another place to have to check for Pros stuff. ;-) But I am so happy to hear you're still/again into Pros. I've only been in the Pros fandom a couple of years, and still have loads of stories to read, but yours are definitely some of my favorites. Does this mean there might be more?
hello Gilda Elise (what a wonderful name!)

Well I still think about the lads a lot.  I do keep a file of started stories and am planning with Pani to start an online archive of my own work (nice place to put any sequels too if I should manage to write any.  Et In Italia Ego particularly keeps nudging at me to be sequelled).

I've been a bit sidetracked by other sorts of writing as I now try to earn a bit of a crust writing stories for women's magazines and also have a full-length book to try and sell (about as far from slash as you could get - ponies  :rolleyes )

Oh my God - the Sebastion?! Your writing has been an absolute pleasure to read, and was my first introduction into this other world  :) . I actually thought you didn't write Pros anymore - can I echo the previous poster's comment "Does this mean there might be more?". And never been to this website before, so not sure whats about - will enjoy having a stroll around and seeing whats what. Take care, Mx
sheer emotional sophistication

That's it!  I've been grappling for years trying to explain how I feel about your stories and sort of came up with 'grown up writing for grown up readers' but the above description sums up perfectly what I want to say.

And please, please, please,   I can't stress too much how many people out there would love a sequel to the Italian holiday story (I won't embarass myself by getting the title wrong).  I think at least I'd die a happy woman and at most I'd remember you in my will.

Thanks. :-) Strange how time changes things. I hated it when I was a kid.

That's wonderful news! The ending of that story always leaves me feeling a little sad.

Good luck! It's certainly a dream a lot of fanfic writers share, including myself (though I think mine would run more to Richard III.)

I'm not much for logging on since I'm on a slow dialup still, but someone told me about the tributes to Teb here.

She was the best editor who has ever or ever will exist.

I'm not sure I'll be able to write without her.

Yay!  So glad you did this!  Any forum that combines my two great loves, horses and Pros, makes me delirously happy ...

And now I will not be alone in ... er ... attempting to inspire you (doesn't that sound so much nicer than badgering! :D) to write that Et in Italia sequel, among other things, of course!  (I feel much less embarrassed now, in fact - I was pretty restrained in my begging/badgering, wasn't I?! :smug )

:love
