The Pope has met and forgiven the woman who attacked him and knocked him over during his 2009 Christmas mass. The Vatican, of which he presumably is still head, is nevertheless continuing to pursue a legal case against her.
Which makes his 'forgiveness' a bit hollow.

Following the attack, the woman was treated at a psychiatric clinic outside Rome and has now been released. The Pope meanwhile still believes in his invisible friend and has not been treated.

Wonderful. Hypocrisy has always been one of their specialities.

I expect they are after compensation. There is still some money in the world that they haven't got their hands on yet.

It may be hard for a rich man to get into heaven, but you can have a great time here on earth with donations from the poor.

Has anyone yet discovered why this woman attacked the pope. For the second time as well so she is obviously determined.

There is no excuse for violence but usually  there is some reason in the mind of the attacker even if it is not a valid reason to the general public.

But I haven't seen anything offering ideas as to why she thinks she needs to attack him.

Good question. I think the world would be a better place without him, but not to the extent of attacking him. Maybe she belongs to a rival branch of christianity.

Or maybe she has some connection with someone who was abused by the church.
