As the title says, Malaysians may now legally call their god "Allah" even if they are not Muslims. Why they should want to is anyone's guess.

Interesting. I think this came up before in some different context and they said 'Allah' just means "him up there" in arabic. So it's not his name or anything. In which case an english speaking Muslim should refer to 'God' which is the english equivalent.

They shouldn't be trying to copyright bits of the language anyway. Even if there were a god it wouldn't be the word that mattered.

But anything that comes between one religion and another is Gospel** to me :)
