The reward for digging out the drive today was that Jay got to go and see Clyde, first time since the snow and ice began.
I rang the farm first to make sure he had not frozen to death so Jay would not be faced with the sight of just all four cloppers sticking out of a heap of snow.

Jay says he looks fine but a little thinner. He'll soon get that round fat furry tummy back when the Spring grass appears.
Seems you were right Pani (link in other topic) - horses do winter well - even in the worst of conditions. I'm amazed!
