As Dik's creator, things have been rather busy away from the PC for me this week, with a resulting nowt compiled for his column. It's been increasingly difficult to put things together on a regular basis, so at the risk of Merry's ire I would like to suggest that Dik's column becomes an occasional entry rather than a regular weekly one.

Eccles, we understand completely. There seems to be a never ending series of real world things to deal with lately. There are not enough hours in the day.
You should just post one whenever the mood takes you. I hope you will feel inspired sometimes as I love to read them

You are right that I will miss it very much, it's something I look forward to, but I think everyone appreciates how much work it must take so I will comfort myself with the thought that Dik will write to us when the spirit moves him (probably five rum and blacks down the pub with his mate Fugger)
Must say that I think Dik's letters are easily as good as many regular columnists in the press, and better at times so a big 
for Dik and his talented Uncle Eccles
