The Scream, the art masterpiece by Edvard Munch, has been stolen from an Oslo museum by armed robbers.

The Scream is Norway's best-known masterpiece
Three individuals, armed and hooded, burst into the Munch Museum, home to dozens of canvases by the early modernist artist, and made off with The Scream (1893) as well as "Madonna" (1893-94).

The Scream had previously been stolen from Norway's National Gallery in a break-in in February 1994 on the opening day of the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer and was retreived several months later.

Oslo police confirmed that the robbers were armed and threatened an employee at gunpoint before they took the two canvasses.

The Scream has become an iconic symbol of Expressionist angst, showing an individual on a bridge hands clasped around his head and mouth wide open in an apparent cry of despair.

The Telegraph

They can just go to the local primary school and find the nicest picture there and replace The Scream.
I thought they had in the first place :)

I have nothing to do for the rest of the day. I might spend the time becoming a famous artist, if that's all it takes. I have some crayons somewhere.

Or they can use my version.
That's wonderful! you have really captured the total despair I feel whenever I have to deal with the 'real' world  :clap
:rofl

Can't we get Furby 'discovered' and then she can give up work.

I have done a helpful page showing the complete collection of all my works for those who missed the chance to admire them.

Do you have a bike Furbs? If so maybe you could try for some Jackson Pollack.
Those are wonderful, Furby.

My favourite used to be your Cy Twombly, but I think your Munch marks the start of a new era in your work.

I just hope you don't come back tomorrow to find they have all been stolen.

Please may we display your Scream at the top of the board for a while, to comfort all those who are missing the original.

Since Panikos wrote such a helpful review of my Cy Furby piece, I will allow this website exclusive rights to my pictures.

Until I get a better offer, I am sure you understand that I could not turn down the chance to be a millionaire and escape my troubled existence.
