You know, I'm getting a sense of deja vu about this. I seem to post 'oh look, they may have found life on Mars!' about every 3 months 
Someone somewhere has looked at some old rocks on Mars and said 'hmmmmm those look exactly like the rocks on Earth which contain carbonated remains of life forms!' and maybe they are right and maybe not, but they are definitely quite excited about it.
