Sweden's royal family are reportedly not amused after toy giants Mattel turned regal bride in waiting Crown Princess Victoria into a Barbie doll.

Now anyone might object to a cheap plastic doll of themselves, but this line amused me.

"Royal Families have a hard enough time being taken seriously as it is without being turned into dolls. It is undignified"


Yes well there's a reason why we don't take Royal Families seriously. It's because the whole idea is ludicrous.  :lol

Someone should explain to them that everyone's family goes back the same number of generations even if they don't have a neat record of it.
You would think they would be grateful for the publicity wouldn't you.
Perhaps they're worried that people would realise that a plastic doll could do the job just as well.
