A partridge in a pear tree!

The Twelve Days of Christmas

Christmas Day

"On the first day of christmas my true love gave to me"

:( My true love never bought me nice things.
Although I would not have liked most of the above list I suppose.

Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five gold rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree
= what your true love sent to you, and totally off his trolly too, I might add.
The total being 12 partridges, 22 turtle doves covering the place in guano, 30 hens clucking away, 36 calling birds, 40 gold rings, 42 geese dropping eggs everywhere, 42 swans that you can't even eat because they belong to the Crown, 40 milkmaids and their cows, buckets of milk geting kicked over by 36 Bluebell girls, 30 Boris Johnson lookalikes jumping all over the place and slipping on the cowpats, 22 pipers playing the god awful Mull of Kintyre and accompanied by Ringo Star and eleven more of his mates.
If you offer the same to me, can I just settle for the gold (preciousssssssssss)?

Can't, wergh.
