Well, I thought he going to spend all day at home as he got up late, but then he seemed to be getting ready for Work as usual even though it late - so I was quite confused. And then he got the Lawnmower and said to me I is going to cut the grass now, and then have a Bath. A bath is when SUBLs lie in and splash about in Water, why I has never been able to work out.
So he cut the grass, and I watched from the safety of the Kitchen Window, and then from the Living Room Window as he did the same to the back grass. And then he cleaned the lawnmower and put it away in the spare room.
And then he had his Bath, and I fed up by then so I went to lie down, I thought maybe he will be Favourite Cushion after his Bath. But no! he put on his short red Coat and Cap and said I is off to the Doctor now and then Morrisons, so back in just over an hour. And off he went.
So when he got back with his shopping I did think to him Why does you go to the Doctor? And he thought back to me Dr Darch is retiring at the end of May and he been going through his patient records. When he got to my name he thought I know, Michael Smith do not like to come to the surgery so how can I get him here one last time, ah yes he on Statins just the excuse I need to make him take a Blood Test.
So I thought back Did Dr Darch take some of your Blood? Did they knock you out, when my Physician wanted to take my Blood I was not having that and you had to take me to Hythe so they could knock me out and take it there at the Animal Hospital. And Creature thought back No, it not Dr Darch, it enough for him to know I had to go to the surgery or no more Statins, it the Nurse wot took the blood. And she found it a bit tricky, too.
Why that, I thought back, did you try to scratch her? At this, Creature got quite indignant; No I did not, most SUBLs don't behave like that. No, they take the blood out of a Vein wot they find in your arm near the inside of your elbow. The Nurse had trouble actually locating a Vein, and her first try in my left arm didn't work. So on went a bit of cotton wool under pressure to stop any bleeding there. And then she looked for a vein in my right arm and announced she was having difficulty in finding a vein with some flow. And Creature said to her 'Well, I can assure you that I'm not dead.' Semi-comatose maybe, but not dead. Anyway, she found the vein and got her blood and Creature got a cotton wool pad on his right arm to match the one on his left arm.
Creature got to ring up for the result on Friday morning. It just to make sure the statins doing wot they should.
And then Creature went to Morrisons and came back with wot he needs for the rest of the week. And I got my Favourite Cushion for most of the afternoon while he watched the Snooker. Claire kept on going in and out because she do like the sunshine.
So I had a nice day.
Wergh.Sounds like Midge had a nicer day than Creature, then - brrr, blood tests!
And Creature said to her 'Well, I can assure you that I'm not dead.'
And the grass got cut too!
Mr Merry also on statins and not allowed grapefruit juice.It sounds an exhausting day, was creature almost glad to go back to work for a rest.I forgot to deal with Furbs question, naughty Midge.
Creature was quite pleased to get back to work! They busy doing final accounts for the next 3 months. No long holidays allowed.
