I thought you might like to see the funky toys that my niece has designed. We went to the New Designers Exhibition in London on Sunday! It was great to see so much talent from our young people!
Her toys were her major project for her degree (for which she got a 1st) and are a fascinating concept. Each has a little storybook attached and they are evolving with each generation. They came to life in 2212 after a worldwide fire almost destroyed the world, they are called Hybridians and originally evolved from junk such as old toys, wheels, rubber etc then the characteristics of all the junk produced the evolved toys - good idea I think?? Hope she gets a break!
That does sound imaginative. 
I hope she is successful with them. The attached story book is an interesting idea. Is each one their personal story or perhaps the story of the Hybridians?
What do you actually do with them.
Are they character toys like dolls and bears and you make your own play or do they do anything like those lorries that turn into robots or toy furbies that talk to you.
They are just soft toys but hopefully collectibles - you know how kids love to collect!
Pani the little storybook tells the general story of the Hybridians and the specific parentage of the one it is attached to.
Tori is making me an 'evolved' new one from the 2 parents I chose! Great fun if a bit weird!

I've actually met Tori - when she was a gorgeous blonde little girl aged about 8, staying with her Auntie Chrissie 
Great concept. Wonderful that the playtime involves reading as well.
