Thanks Ron :thumb I think we'll definitely give it a try, if only because 'Simon Said So' and hopefully he has some special powers
(Simon being the poor driving instructor)
Well I will wish Jay, my god-daughter, the best of luck and take the Rescue Remedy - I have used it many times and swear it has a soothing effect! Probably is a placebo effect but who cares if it has the desired result?? Can't do any harm!
ps Andy's instructor was called Simon - passed first time!!
Thank you Chrissie!
Anyway..... it's today.....
Will report later but I'm not really expecting good news. Come to think of it, even passing wouldn't be good news. Can I really let Jay out alone on the roads with all those speeding maniacs out there? wibble
Ere! I was only doin' 37MPH missus. An' it was at the second busiest safety camera in Wiltshire.
Good luck Jay.
Good luck J/DP...
If she passes I will have to avoid Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire in my expeditions around the country.... hmm that will make getting to Tewkesbury interesting!
Ron
Ahem.
It is now 18:33. J will know if she has passed or failed. We need to know as well, so come on Merry, fess up. Do we
in celebration/fear or
in commiseration/relief?
Thanks for the good wishes, Ron and Eccles
You'll have to wish harder next time though I'm afraid
My sympathies as I know what it is like.
I told her earlier today that my friend Furby had failed "more than once", but she didn't find it as comforting as I'd hoped
The worst thing is there are no now tests till late October so that means December till she can have another go, and she will have forgotten by then that it wasn't as bad as she thought, and it will be back to the gnashing of teeth and handwringing and big scared eyes and 'woe is me this is the worst day of my life'
Well from the sound of it Jay only missed passing due to first time nervousness so I'm confident she will do it next time. I don't see how anyone could pass first time with the pressure of it all.
So congratulations Jay on very nearly passing
