I don't know if we have any Northampton readers. If that is you DO NOT DRINK THE TAP WATER.

I think I have had a dose of this when it was in our water and they did not tell anyone so as not to panic the people and it only leaked out due to kind people in the vulnerable groups  spreading rumours.

It is horrible and you keep getting worse until you stop drinking the water which is not what you usually do with those symptoms. I never drink water now when I am sick just in case.

Meanwhile back to the story, What do you think the 3 naughty children had done to go without water when they asked for 200 bottles of water for 203 children.

And in our day they just switched off the water and let us go thirsty , they would not have closed the school.

I was told recently how people who drink bottled water were being silly and wasting resources and destroying the planet. After all we have perfectly good water coming out of the taps.

:(

:lol about the three who would go without. Maybe they have been judged potential terrorists/criminals. They can tell in preschool now they claim.

But who's to say the water bottling companies don't use tap water anyway? And even if they don't, there's just as much chance of Malvern Spring water, or whatever, getting contaminated as the stuff that comes from our taps. They had nasty bacteria in the hot springs that supplied the Roman Baths at Bath, which took a lot of effort and expense to get rid of.
I bet Tesco Value Water (17p a bottle) is tap water.  They used to call it 'Spring Water' but for some reason  :rolleyes the word 'spring' vanished from the label about a year ago and never returned.

If challenged I expect they would have said 'oh - spring water!  Well we call it that to distinguish it from our Winter Water, etc'

It was a wabbit wot done it.

"Customers in 100,000 homes were told by Anglian Water to boil tap water for up to 10 days after the Cryptosporidium outbreak on 25 June."

Gee, is there anything left in the pot after boiling it for ten days? Guess that really would kill the crypto, and the pot too, for that matter.

[oh and by the bye, distilled water should be cheap and comparitively bug free, unless the bottler is cheating on the process...]

:lol @ boiling it for ten days
