Jay emailed me in her first week at Oxford to say that all the girls there were wearing Ugg boots and weren't they the uggliest things I'd ever seen, 'just like Teletubby boots'?

and these remind me of when companies make cartoon fruit, like apples and oranges, with short spindly legs and a big pair of comedy shoes on the bottom....





Yep, can see where she's going with that.  So imagine my surprise when she turns up home from Oxford wearing.... a pair of the demon boots (fake ones.  Real ones cost in excess of £170)

Apparently it's not that 'all the girls wear them'  :rolleyes but that they feel like wearing great comfy warm pillows on your feet and it's like walking on air!

I was determined to resist until I saw these on eBay, a snip at £13.99.






What do you think?  Should I get some?
If you are lucky enough to fit into boots get them. I would like them but don't have small enough feet to wear ladies boots.

YellowFurby had some like the middle picture with the trim last year. I am surprised they are still fashionable.

The cartoon fruits were called the Munch Bunch in the 80s I think.  And I had some pencil tops in the 70s.

Tesco do a mock-Ugg which are the ones Jay got.  They come up very roomy on the foot, do have a look in case they might be Furby-foot sized.

I wouldn't mind following in the old dear's footsteps as according to that link she had 160 books pblished, and every single one of them a pile ofpink poo!  I have a way to go to catch her up, even though I've just sold my 12th women's mag story of the year  :D
