Did he pass?
Still no sign of my Over 40s test.
Perhaps they are saving me for a special Over 50s health check.
This could cut NHS costs if people die before they get their test.
Mr Merry handed me an envelope to post yesterday.
Apparently it was his 'Bowel Screening Sample' as requested by the NHS.
I couldn't get it in the box fast enough
@ Merry
Creature hasn't had ANY health invite at all, but maybe it because he a member of the Chronic Pill-Takers so they do a couple of Blood Pressure checks a year on him anyway.
He has lots more Medicines now because they think he has psoriasis. This morning he was putting cream on his face and neck (1x for 7 days) and a moisturising gel (2x daily for 2 weeks with that one), and in 1 week he drop the cream for another one wot must stay in the fridge (1x for 7 days), and at the end of 2 weeks he go back to the Doctor to see if the psoriasis going away.
This was 3 prescriptions @£7.20 a go so no wonder Creature thinking wot a good job I has this prepayment card, saving me a lot of money!
Meanwhile Me and Sister Claire are having a little revolt over the Hills - Creature unwisely fed us some Royal Canin wot Mrs Nunn gave him, and we want some more. So far, us sitting near the food and both glaring at him Has Not Worked.
Wergh!
Wergh.
You stay there and eat what you're given! Creature works all week to keep you and Claire in warmth and luxury and it's time you showed some gratitude.
WERGH!
wergh..........wergh
I think I'm with eccles on this one!
Mind you, we're lucky in this household because Dog very enthusiastically eats whatever she is given (and I do know some that won't, and one who has the bad luck to have loads of health problems and who has to have special hypoallergenic food and I don't know what-all else). We have also trained the zoics from age 0 to eat what they are given
- except that oddly enough they sometimes used to need reminding of the fact that this rule also applies when they visit a friend's house ...
I too eat what I am given, with the exception of celery and beetroot which are Abominations unto Nuggan.
But fortunately for all of us, someone else here (not me) is a Very Good Cook so the what-we-are-given gets devoured with quite as much enthusiasm - though not, fortunately, quite as much speed - as that demonstrated by Dog.
And nobody has been invited for an Over 40 health check boo swizz
Anyway, we ate quite a lot of our Hills during the day, so Creature was kind PURRS
and gave us some Canin when he got home.
Midge, I'm glad you ate your Hills. See? It wasn't that bad was it?
I got a bowel check thingie a few months back. I'm so used to giving out cr*p that it wasn't difficult, but it was a surprise that people actually wanted it.
I haven't had the other one, but if I get one it'll go in the bin.
Well 2 years on , did anyone get one of these Over 40s Health Checks.
I didn't.
Perhaps the change of government and/or lack of money stopped the plan getting rolled out as far as most over 40s. If they had checked some of the sicker ones it would have cost them more money to treat them wouldn't it.
A faraway (to me) relative did get an Over 70 check and is being treated for what they found.
