Auntie R tells the truth without fear or favour.

Kazakhstan border with Russia: 6,846 km

Canada border with United States (2): 8,893 km less the Alaska bit 2,475 km = 6,416 km

So I is WRONG AGAIN, this getting to be a bad habit, I had never thought of Kazakhstan.   Time for a cuddle with Creature.

Interesting Q about something historical that was presumed to have happened in one place, but now another  The Battle of Bosworth Field, which apparently is the Battle of Somewhere Else

Beyond oen of the planets.. which?  Neptune - it a very wide band like the asteroid belt except it mainly ice and frozen gas particles and includes the dwarf planets of Pluto, Haumea (1/3 the size of Pluto and a pulled-out elliptoid) and Makemake (3/4 the size of Pluto).  

Even further out, beyond the Kuiper Belt, is dwarf planet Eris which is 25% bigger than Pluto but 3 times as far away from the Sun as Pluto.
