In November I started doing the daily competition on Steffans' Jewellery Site - you had to input a friend's email to enter each time and choose three items for your Christmas present.
Daily I put in either STPD's or Jay's email as the 'friend' and chose my three items and whizzed off the 'postcard'.
I never even bothered to check the winners as frankly it seemed too unlikely, so imagine my astonishment when after our Christmas Eve dinner STPD dived behind a chair and produced a carrier with three Steffans' jewellery bags/boxes and ribbons - she had won on the third time of trying and somehow managed to keep it a secret all this time.
Kind girl that she is, she made her mother's Xmas with a silver Pandora bracelet, her sister's with a solid silver Links Free Clyde Reindeer charm, and kept a Thomas Sabo bracelet for herself - which she was soon conned into handing over to younger sister (because STPD
is too softhearted for her own good.)
Thank you STPD
you really made our night and goodness only knows how you kept that a secret for a whole month!
That was so sweet of STPD!
She was just as excited giving them as I was to get them - so sweet!
At my age you don't get many surprises or at least not good ones
so that will be a magical memory for years.
Were you up late waiting for Santa to fill the zoics' stockings, Helio?
I am up too damned early, thinking about that great turkey waiting evilly down there to go in the oven.
