Alumini is some sort of old students club and I have never bothered. I have nothing to offer them , not they me.
Anyway I did a Google search on my own real name including my middle name, e.g. Furby Dalek Brown and it brought up 4 links.
They are all links to University Alumini listing all the students names by name/surname/year/subject and inviting people to tell Alumini where I am.

One of Creature's friends from Leeds wot he has kept in touch with gave his name and addy to the Leeds University Alumni office.
The result is that Creature gets a magazine every so often, and pays so much a month to the student hardship fund. He too much of a soft touch.
Wergh.
Oh dear
Mr Merry is on the "List of the Lost" for Keble College.
Along with these two fellas, what great names!!

Do you think it is worth owning up to who I am, so as I can get taken out of Google Searches?
Or would it do more harm than good and Google would keep me anyway.
I think unless you do a lot of explaining they will remove that page asking where you are and put a new one in saying where you are.
Perhaps the way to look at it is that it will have been up some time yes? and no one has come forward to say "oh Brownfurby lives at so and so"
I think this means you ARE pretty anonymous
Creature looked in Google both under his full name and his first name and surname, and didn't turn up anywhere.
Under his short first name he turned up only when you put where we do live in the Search.
So looks like he very anonymous.
Put my full name into google - no results
Put First name + Surname in - Results which aren't me
Put shortened first name + Surname in - loads of results most of which are me.
Ho hum. Mind you, if anyone wants to find me I am in the phone book so the info available on the interweb isn't really that private.

The University Alumini have now put this information behind a new website where you have to log in first.
Isn't that the new fashion these days. Log in Log in then we will show you if the site is worth logging into.
Anyway it is just proof that if you do nothing sooner or later someone else will do the work for you.
I still show on Google though although the link goes nowhere useful.
That's an improvement
Making life harder for nosy people is a Very Good Thing. And I looked up my old school bullies before they thought to anon themselves - I already know where to find you, Anonymous Bullying Girls, mwhahahaha!
Where did you look them up.
Had the silly sausages not ticked the "keep me off the electoral roll" boxes, or had they gone on facebook or the like.
